I think I’ve mentioned it before (just once or twice) that I love cats.
I made this card for a dear friend, who is also a cat lover.
I die cut a piece of white card and then cut the cat (lace cat die). I coloured the cat with Promarkers. It was a bit on the fiddly side but worth the effort.
Champagne is perfect for any celebration, so why not a champagne card?
I cut two champagne glasses in a piece of white card. this was then embossed with a star embossing folder. I added a piece of acetate behind the champagne glass cut outs.
I (carefully) added some crystal gems to represent the champagne bubbles onto a gold card blank. The white card was put onto the card blank with foam pads.
It’s horrible to lose a beloved pet. I know (from personal experience) just how difficult it can be to say goodbye. I made these cards for dear friends, just to let them know we cared.
Both cards were made in a similar way: the backgrounds for the paw prints were coloured with Copics. I used a square die to cut a piece of white card and then cut the heart in the centre. I then embossed this with my paw print embossing folder. I also cut the heart from black card. This was assembled (as in the picture) and I finished the sides with washi tape.
This card was made using my new city dies. The buildings were coloured with Copics. The card blank was embossed with my diagonal stripes embossing folder. The heart was cut using my tiny heart punch.
I made a similar card back in October (see here for instructions). They are so cheerful and make the perfect subject for a get well card.
